There are times we need to look unto Jesus, not for miracle or healing but looking unto Him to be like Him. I am glad to tell you that, it comes with a desire, thirst, hunger from the heart. I mean a sincere desire to know and understand the things of the Spirit. If you don’t desire or if you are not hungry or willing to know God, you can’t behold His face.

2 Corinthians 3:18 says: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”.

So many people love to behold Christ for power, healing, miracle, anointing, promotion, breakthroughs of all kinds, the fruit of the womb and many more. After receiving what they are looking for, they go back to who they were before. It is hard to find people, who are beholding Christ like a mirror to be transformed to His image even in the body of Christ. The majority have selfish agenda. They may tell you; it is their desire to be like Him but their intentions or motives are wrong.

Beholding Christ in a glass in order to be transformed into the same image means consistently looking unto Christ, being dead to flesh, sin, following Christ at all cost disregarding the pleasures and vanities of this world. It is to know the depth of Jesus not scratching on the surface of knowing Christ. It is looking unto Jesus until you are established and rooted in Him. It is looking unto Christ until you become immovable in Him. It is not just speaking in tongues alone but knowing Christ, desiring and loving Him, always ready to obey and please Him.

Beholding Christ is an act of worship to Him, casting down all your crowns before the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Putting on the garment of humility that Him alone be lifted up i.e you decrease that Him alone will continue to increase. Beholding Christ implies that you focus on Him alone in every area of your life and no one else.  You draw strength from Him. He is involved in your daily routine. Your heart longs for Him.

Beholding Christ makes holiness your watchword because you won’t allow anything unworthy to distract you from looking up unto Christ. All that will matter to you is your hunger for God.

It requires the readiness of your heart and how obsessed you are about knowing Him. It will take a lot of things from you, it is a selfless sacrifice, it requires your consistency and commitment. Sometimes, your time will be needed. How long are you ready to stay in the secret place? How long are you ready to eat the word of God? This is a question you need to ask yourself? How long you are ready to spend with Him is a function of how far you can go with Him.

When you begin to behold Christ, your life will begin to transform into his glorious image from glory to glory and people around you will notice it because there would be a reflection of Christ through you. God’s glory begins to radiate all over you. You will be favoured before men and begin to wax stronger in Him. You would become a supernatural being, the principalities and powers won’t be able to have power over your life and territory. You would become a terror to the kingdom of darkness. You would find yourself always rejoicing in holiness and truth.

Jesus is the best person you can behold and never be discouraged. When you behold any other man, you will be discouraged by the time you begin to see or notice their weakness and flaws just because they are not perfect. Jesus is the only perfect man without flaws and mistakes. Looking elsewhere can only make your life miserable, make you live a life without value or makes you jubilate on vainglory that is only limited to this earth and for a short time. God’s glory cannot be compared to this (vapour glory) because it is eternal.

LOOK UNTO JESUS TODAY AND LIVE.
