A Christlike lifestyle is the best lifestyle a man can live which will give him peace, joy, and happiness. However, man has found it as the most difficult lifestyle to maintain.
This is the lifestyle that makes God’s glory radiant in one’s life both physically and spiritually in which other fellow men will be unable to explain what made you special and attractive to them.
The Christlike lifestyle cannot be activated without the help of the Holy Spirit. Many Christians have tried to live a Christlike life with their human initiative. They heeded and obeyed doctrines without being ministered to by the Holy Spirit Himself.
They get to know that they couldn’t cope nor continue. As a result of this, some ended up backsliding. They gave up being a hypocrite, a state of the heart that doesn’t interest them. They haven’t subject everything in obedience to the Holy Spirit.
When the place of the Holy Spirit is not recognized in man’s life, man’s effort in life to please God will always be in vain. That’s one of the reasons God had to send Apostle Peter to Cornelius. Cornelius’s good deed reached heaven but it is more in vain because he did not recognize the place of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 10 gives the full details.) The place of the Holy Spirit in man’s life represent JESUS in such life John 16:7-12. So, when there’s an absence of JESUS in your life, how is it possible to live a life that He pleasures in? It’s ridiculous.
The Holy Spirit is the only one that directs man on how to live his/her life on a daily basis without fault. Anytime your fellow human sees you, all that they see is Christ. You can’t even explain it all alone. Some will decide to study you all the time and before you know it, their soul becomes transformed and renewed in the fashion of the cross. That’s where the verse that says “You yourselves are our letter, written on our heart, known and read by everyone.” 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 is being activated. What they see is beyond human imagination as far as that soul is subjected to the influence of the Holy Spirit.
